Herbs
Xi Yang Shen American Ginseng – The emperor’s herb, reduces cytokines that cause inflammation and helps to regulate cortisol levels, helping with a number of stress-related conditions. Cools the skin. Burmeister Ginseng grows the best ginseng in the world right here in Wisconsin.
Bai Hua She She Cao, or Oldenlandia – employed to treat sores, skin problems, acne and carbuncles on the skin.
Han Lian Cao, or Eclipta – Nourishes the Blood, Benefits dull, thin, weak or patchy hair; especially for Premature Greying of the Hair (a specific in both TCM and Ayurveda) and Alopecia. Traditionally used topically for Dermatitis and Skin Infections.
He Shou Wu, or Fo-Ti is antioxidant-rich and anti-inflamatory. It’s many health benefits all stem from one thing: it contains a multitude of antioxidants. Used in China to maintain health and youthfulness, especially support hair growth and color. This traditional use of the herb has been substantiated by a study conducted in mice showing that P. multiflorum extracts promote hair growth by inducing the anagen phase in resting hair follicles
Huan Qi- Astragulus Nourishes and tones the skin. Helps wound that will not heal.
Tien Chi Ginseng or San Qi- Chinese say it ‘separates the turbid from the clear.’ Helps escort dirt and toxins caught in the skin matrix. Works with Frankincense and Myrrh to regulate blood flow through the skin.
Si Gua Lo, or Luffa – is used in TCM to remove dead skin and stimulate circulation, also to reduce inflammation, remove toxins and improve one’s appearance.
Zhen Zhu Mu – Mother of Pearl Powder. Very mild exfoliant for the skin and is used for wounds that will not heal.
Frankincense and Myrrh Beautiful fragrance and act with the San Qi as gentle blood mover through the skin.
Oils
Apricot Seed Oil. Nourish skin with gamma Linoleic acid. Used for skin tone. Recommended for eczema and psoriasis.
Castor Oil. It helps formulate a really smooth lather and contribute to a harder bar soap. Known to be incredibly therapeutic to the skin.
Coconut Oil. Contribute to a harder bar soap small bubble lather . Leaves the skin supple, soothes irritated skin, scratches, bug bites, flaking.
Jojoba Oil. High in Vitamin E, leave the skin with a glow.
Olive Oil. Known to renew the skin, helps with eczema and psoriasis. Skin moisturizer with antioxidant properties.
